Herbst Jr Armond Sheridan Herbst Jr., passed away today October 14, 2013 at 10:45 AM in Columbus, Ohio at the age of 54 years old after a near yearlong battle with esophageal cancer. "Armie", as he was called by all who knew him, was born in Columbus, Ohio on January 22, 1959 to his parents Elizabeth (Bitsy) and Armond (Popoe) Herbst who have preceded him in death along with his brother Billy who passed away at the age of 12 years old from Leukemia. Armie is survived by his brother, Gregg; sister-in-law, Cindy who provided him with seven nieces and nephews to enjoy and to be loved by beginning with, Elizabeth (29), Leslie (27), Gregg Jr. (26), Phoebe (25), Brittany (24), Amanda (20), lastly Austin (17). Armie graduated from Bishop Hartley High School and attended business school before entering into the business world as an entrepreneur who started the original .99 Stores in Columbus as well as the Final Mark Down close out store and later worked from his home so he could take care of his mother for the final 10 years of her life. Armie will always be remembered for his unique, sharp wit and humor, his stubborn, strong minded will, his dedication to the ones he loved and his over generous way in providing for the ones he loved and cared for, especially at Christmas time when he made extra sure everyone had a "Jolly Holly Christmas!" We will miss you Armie but know we will be with you again someday. God bless you, we love you Armie! Memorial service Wednesday 6:30 p.m. EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E.
