Obituary Condolences

Steger Bernard James "Jim" Steger, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville due to numerous complications from pneumonia. He was 94. His parents were Maude and Leo Steger of Hudson, Michigan with two brothers John and Leo. Jim was married to loving wife Anne Steger who passed away in 1987. He retired as President of Dean & Barry Paints and spent most of his career in the paint industry. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy where he faithfully served our country in WWII as an active-duty combat pilot. He is survived by his sons, Pat and Gregg and their wives, Vicki and Jackie; grandchildren, Katie, Kim, Cory, and Andy; great-grandchildren, Maggie, Anne, and Max. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 27 at 9:30 a.m. (viewing at 9 a.m.) at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 2940 Parkside Rd., Columbus, OH 43204, where he was a member for over 60 years. In lieu of flowers, the family is graciously asking for donations be sent to St. Ann's/Mount Carmel Hospice and Palliative Care via Mount Carmel Foundation, 6150 East Broad St., Columbus, OH 43213, 614-546-4500.
