Betty June Kauderer Obituary
Kauderer Betty June Kauderer, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, under the loving care of Grace Hospice. Born May 29, 1925 in Bellefontaine, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Faith Rudisill. Betty grew up in German Village and met her husband, the late Bernie Kauderer, in Junior High. Their loving relationship grew as Junior High School Sweethearts, to her writing letters everyday to him as he fought in WWII. Betty and Bernie were Charter Members of Ascension Lutheran Church, where they were an active member of the Booher Class. She retired from the Ohio State University Treasurers Office, after many years of dedicated service, where she was the head of travel. After retirement, she became an active member of the OSU Retirees Club. A loving Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister and Aunt and avid Buckeye Fan, she will be deeply missed by her family. She is survived by her sons, Jeff and wife, Carol, Craig and wife, Miranda; grandchildren, Lee (Amy) Kauderer, Rachel Kauderer, Christy (Eddie) DeWees, Erica (Tony) Rose, Elizabeth (Joe) Speach, Katherine Kestner and Michael Kestner; great-grandchildren, Regan, Braden, Graham, Gracie, Alysha, Courtney, Jacob, Mark, Nicholas, Thomas and Michael; her sister, Donna Young; many nieces and nephews; her special church friends of Ascension Lutheran. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Hatfield and Martha Rike. Family will receive friends on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High Street in Worthington. Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013, at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1479 Morse Rd., Columbus 43229. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
