BLACK Beverly Carol (Saunders) Black, age 58, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012. She was born in Oxford, NC, on September 19, 1954, and moved to Columbus where she graduated from North High School. Bev was a Certified Professional Coder and worked for many medical offices over the years. She spent a majority of her career in cardiology at the OSU Medical Center, and most recently she worked for Friendship Village of Columbus. She also spent some time as the owner of Bev's Ceramics, and was a director for Mary Kay. She ran the PYAA Cheerleading program for years, and she enjoyed bowling in leagues in her younger days. She also enjoyed crafting, playing cards, going to movies, and she loved dogs and horses. She was a past member of Linden Lutheran Church. Bev is survived by her children, Brian Black and Kara Black; grandchildren, Kennedy and Kavan; sister, Diane (Ronald) Miccichi; longtime friend, Gayle Blue; and many other friends and family members, especially Donald and Deborah Black. She was preceded in death by her father Clennon Saunders, mother and step-father Judith and Bob Wilson and brother Grover Patrick Saunders. Family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. with a memorial service beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at the SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna.
