Reese C. Glen Reese, age 82 of Sunbury, died Thursday morning January 9, 2014 at St Ann's Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Westerville. He was born on October 7, 1931 in Marietta to the late Glen and Mabel (Rumbold) Reese. He was a US Navy Veteran and a retired heavy equipment operator working for Dodge Ireland Construction and also was self employed. He was a former member of the Sunbury Eagles and enjoyed their shrimp dinners. Glen enjoyed camping and traveling with his wife and friends, having traveled or camped in 47 of the 50 states. Grandchildren and family were important to him and he always had a smile for his great-grandson, Connor. He is survived by his son, Ken (Barb Bicsey) Reese of Sunbury; grandchildren, Kyle (Lauren) Reese of Westerville, Carrie Reese of Ft. Myers Beach, Florida; great-grandson, Connor and another great grandchild on the way; brother, Gene (Chris) Hendrickson of Marietta; sister, Ruth Mollahan of Waterford. He was preceded in death by his wife L. Eileen (Spearman) Reese on December 16, 1997, brother Mike Hendrickson, sister Carol Reece. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the DEVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, SR 3 at 61, Sunbury where services will be held Thursday 10 a.m. with Celebrant Don Lockwood officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in the Trenton Cemetery. The family requests donations to the Mount Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215.
