Davison Carolyn Jane (Cheadle) Davison brought happiness to others, starting August 5, 1922. She passed to eternal joy with Jesus on March 13, 2017. A poem written by her father when she was a "wee bit lassie" described her as "mamma's darling little elf." Her senior year at Johnstown (OH) High School she fell in love with Harry Davison and followed him to Galveston, Texas to marry him in 1943 when he was in the Coast Guard. They returned to Ohio to raise three daughters and enjoy 62 years together with extended family and friends and travel in their Airstreams, visiting every U.S. state and every Canadian Province but 1. She and Harry organized and participated in rallies and caravans with the local unit of the Wally Byam Caravan Club serving as President and First Lady in 1987. She served as church secretary and teacher for children in her church (Indianola/Summit United Methodist), encouraged others who had ostomies like she did, helped Girl Scouts, and made bears for sick children with the Riverside Hospital Sewing Guild. She was active in Clintonville Women's Association and Clintywood Players, Her final years were lived at Friendship Village of Columbus where she is remembered as being kind and cheerful. Carolyn leaves a wonderful heritage to her daughters, Martha (Roger) Smith, Nedra (Richard) Crawford, and Frieda (Jon) Smith; as well as eight grandchildren and spouses; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. At Carolyn's request, her body has been donated to Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine, another example of her giving nature, even in death. Donations may be made in her memory to the .
