Williams Carrie Mae Williams, age 88, of Columbus, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. She was born on April 21, 1925 in Whigham, GA. She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Perlina (Akins) Betner, her husband George Williams, Sr. and her sons George Jr and Lester Williams, her brothers John and Lawrence Betner and sisters Maude Pearce, Mittie Betner, Myrtice Williams and Moronis Vines. She is survived by her sisters, Renita Grant and Maryanne Reese; along with her sons, John and Larry Williams and daughter-in-law, Lisa Williams; grandchildren, Antonio (Kim) Ferguson, Tenisia (Daryl) Prentiss, Regina Nelson, Lalita Williams, Leon Williams, Leilani Williams, Latiana Williams; great-grandchildren, Desmond Thomas, Alexus Megill, Malik Jackson, Sonique Prentiss, Antonia Ferguson, Amaria Ferguson, Ashlyn Ferguson and Dujuan Sistrunk Jr. Also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. Carrie dedicated 40 faithful years as a private housekeeper for the Ralph Hazelbaker family and was a 42 year member of Calvary Apostolic Church. She will be greatly missed by all. The family wishes to thank the caring and dedicated staff of the Palliative Care Unit at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Family will receive friends Thursday, March 13, from 4-7 p.m. for viewing and Service at 7 p.m. at Calvary Apostolic Church, 2551 West Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081.
