Catherine Romanos Frezoulis age 45, entered into Eternal Life, August 24, 2017 after a courageous battle with a rare form of Cancer. She was born to her parents, Peter and Ourania Zannakis Romanos, June 7, 1972 in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated Keystone Oaks High School in 1990, Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy at University of Pittsburgh in 1995, and Doctor of Pharmacy at Duquesne University in 1998. After graduation she moved to Columbus, OH, completed a two year residency at The Ohio State University and accepted a posititon as a Pharmacist at Grant Medical Center where she worked for 17 years. Cathy was a loving wife and mother. She married Gus Frezoulis at The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Columbus, OH and the couple had one child Dimitrios Frezoulis. A proud Member of The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral, she spent countless hours preparing meals for the Philoptochos (friends of the poor) organization that distributed home cooked meals to the homeless shelter on a monthly basis. She Co-spearheaded The Little Lambs Group (the youngest dancers at the annual Greek Festival) and loved volunteering at her son's preschool and elementary school. Cathy will be deeply missed by her husband, Gus and their 9 yr. old son, Dimitrios; parents; Peter and Ourania; sister, Maria Romanos; many aunts, uncles, and cousins in Greece; and a host of dear friends and coworkers. Friends may call at the O. R. WOODYARD CO, NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 2990 Bethel Rd. Monday August 28th from 4 to 8 p.m. with the Trisagion at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be officiated by Father Demetrios Gardikes at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 555 N. High St. Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with interment following at Resurrection Cemetery. The family suggests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made in memory of Cathy to either The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral or the Neuroendocrine Tumor Research Foundation at https://netrf.org/donate/ .
