Bickel Charles Davis Bickel II, age 25, Saturday August 24, 2013 as the result of a motorcycle accident. Graduate of Westerville North High School Class of 2006. Enrolled student at The Ohio State University. Sgt. U.S. Marine Corps Reserve H&S Company and formerly with Lima Co. He served Active Duty with the U.S. Marines including two tours of duty in Iraq. He had enlisted in the Marine Corps after his first cousin Harrison J. Meyer was killed in action in 2004 while he was a Medic in the U.S. Army serving in Ar Ramadi, Iraq. He was employed part time as a server with the Rusty Bucket in Gahanna. At the time of his accident he was returning from a charity run sponsored by the Rusty Bucket for Nationwide Children's Hospital. Survived by his love Meghan McGovern; parents, Phil and Ann Bickel; brothers and sisters, Jennifer (Andy) Clymer, Nicolas (Kristen) Bickel, Michelle (Nick) Rutledge, Abigail Bickel; grandparents, Bill and Liz Meyer; aunts and uncles, Kit (Donna) Bickel, Jonathan Bickel, Nicolas (Leah) Bickel, Joseph (Shirley) Bickel, Joe (Maureen) Meyer, Bill (Debbie) Meyer, Theresa (Mike) Eilerman, and Patty (Tom) Brohard; many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents Charles Davis and JeNette Bickel, uncle Tom Bickel, aunt Mary Bell. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, 6300 E. Dublin Granville Rd. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday 10:30 a.m. Rosary will be Wednesday 1:45 p.m. and a Prayer Service will be Wednesday 8 p.m. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery.
