Franke, Sr. Charles J. Franke, Sr., age 92, of Heath, will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11, at the Heath Chapel of HENDERSON-VAN ATTA-STICKLE FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICE. He was born September 29, 1921 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Elwood and Helen (Gold) Franke. He passed away at his home on Friday, March 7, 2014. Mr. Franke retired as a conductor with the Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a Boy Scout leader and member of the F & AM Pilgrim Lodge #691 in Steubenville and was a 32nd Degree Mason. Mr. Franke, after retiring, built several homes in the Licking County area. He is survived by three children, Charles J. Franke, Jr., of Heath, Frederick E. Franke of Reynoldsburg and Susan "Sue" (Dave) Evans of NY; six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Robert Marshall of FL; numerous nieces and nephews and his dog, Tommy II. He was preceded in death by two wives Lila (Smith) and Audrey (Titterington), a daughter Sandra Lee Franke-Marshall and a grandson Robert Michael Marshall.
