A funeral service celebrating the life of Christine Michelle Canavan, age 46, of Thornville, Ohio will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, at The Heath Chapel of HENDERSON-Van ATTA-STICKLE FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath, with Pastor Timothy Hitchcock officiating. Christine passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio after a battle with cancer (PMP) of fourteen and a half years. She was born June 19, 1971 in Cambridge, Ohio to Michael G. "Mike" and Lynda S. (DelGenio) Canavan. Christine attended Westerville South High School and later Heidelberg College where she was a member of the Philalethean Society. Christine was the marketing director at Oakwood Management Company for sixteen years. She was an avid Columbus Blue Jackets fan and season ticket holder since the inaugural season. She leaves behind many friends who miss her dearly. She is survived her parents, Mike and Lynda Canavan; a sister, Tracy (Frederick) Dallmeyer of Plainfield, Illinois; a niece, Autumn Dallmeyer; a nephew, Jonathan Dallmeyer; many aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Lori Conrad and Debbie Davis; furbabies, Bonnie and Clyde who miss her already. Christine was preceded in death by her infant brother Michael Canavan (1972), grandparents George and Mildred Canavan and John and Suzanne DelGenio and special furbaby, Puckey. Family and friends may call on Sunday, August 13 from 1-2 p.m. at The Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta-Stickle Funeral & Cremation Service, 1249 Hebron Road, Heath. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gentle Barn, 2410 Diggs Rd., Knoxville, TN 37932 or any Miniature Pincher rescue.
