Pinson Christine Pinson, age 90, of Pataskala, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Mt Carmel East Hospital in Columbus. She was born on December 29, 1922 to the late Clarence Augustus and Jeanette (Sanford) McGinnis. She is preceded in death by her husband Lester Pinson to whom she was married for 67 years, her grandson-in-law Dean Welch, and her brothers and sisters Howard, Avanelle, Imogene, Chester, Jake, Lucille, and Ruth. Christine is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Pinson; grandchildren, Gina Yost of Cincinnati, Tara Welch of Nicholasville, KY, Ashley (Karen) Yost of Lancaster, KY.; great-grandchildren, Ethan Brown, Bethany Welch, Karley Yost and Rhett Yost; her sister-in-law, Nora Fenton; special niece, Janice Engel; her neighbor, Rusty George; and her dogs, Montana and Taco. Christine loved to travel with Lester on road trips, play the organ and piano, collect dishware sets and miniature bells, volunteered her time with the American Red Cross; but most of all she loved the farm they had together and the outdoor life that it provided. She was a member of Rose Hill Church of Christ, and retired from the Kroger Bakery in downtown Columbus. Friends may call on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 1-3 p.m. at the KAUBER-SAMMONS FUNERAL HOME in Pataskala, where the funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday with Rev. William Hunt officiating. A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Glen Rest Memorial Estate.
