Slay Clifford "Cliff" Danford Slay, 60, of Sunbury, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Kobacher House. He was born July 26, 1956 in Caldwell, Ohio a son of the late Glenn and Dee (Williamson) Slay. He graduated from Caldwell High School and attended Ohio University Zanesville Branch. He worked for Truenorth delivering fuel to Shell Stations for ten years. He enjoyed all kinds and ages of tractors and attending tractor shows. He was a member of York Lodge #563 Masons, Aladdin Shrine, and Valley of Columbus Scottish Rite. He attended Westerville Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; sisters, Mary Berchak of Delaware, OH, Michal Young of Dublin, OH; brothers, Glenn Slay of Missoula, Montana, and George (JoAnn) Slay of Wesley Chapel, Florida; children, Dawn (Carl) Downour, three grandchildren of Sugar Grove, OH; Kristina (Eric) Westfall, two grandchildren of Avalon, PA; and Jeremy (Kandi) Slay, two grandchildren of Waco, TX. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 8 at Westerville Christian Church at 471 E. College Ave., Westerville, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Cliff's memory to the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital or Kobacher Hospice House.
