Cynthia A. Weis, 57, of Cardington, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 13, 2017 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. She was born February 27, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio the middle of six children of Elmer & June (Lippert) Ferrell Sr. Cindy attended and later graduated from Mifflin High School in Columbus. During her time at Mifflin High she met Mark Weis, a recently graduated senior who fell in love instantly, they hit it off, and were married February 10, 1979. Cindy worked for National Electric Coil in Columbus, Ohio as a winder, she was a proud member of the IUECWA for 28 years, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Columbus. Ohio. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 38 years, Mark Weis; son, Tony (Wendy) Weis; daughters, Sharon (Dwight) Dehart, and Rachelle (Mike) McCallister; father Elmer Ferrell Sr.; grandchildren, Brianna Valtman, Kya Weis, Owen Valtman, Abigail Weis, Dominic Beilfuss, Sullivan Beilfuss, Audrey Bates, Kaden Weis, Clara Weis, Mason Dehart, Mikey McCallister, and Dani McCallister; brothers, Elmer Ferrell Jr., and Joe Ferrell; sisters, Norma Fortner, Jackie Bennett, and Donna Ferrell; And Fur-daughter, her yorkie, Misty. She was preceded in death by her mother June Ferrell in 2016. Cindy enjoyed throwing parties or hosting any holiday event, it gave her a chance to showcase her cooking abilities, she also enjoyed spending time with her family, and playing with her grandkids. Her family and those close to her will remember her as the big-hearted and amazing woman she was, always willing to solve everyone else's problems before her own. A celebration of life will take place 3 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the DeVORE-SNYDER FUNERAL HOME in Sunbury 637 Ohio 61, Sunbury, Ohio 43074 with Pastor Robert Valtman officiating.
