Dan is an amazing guy, who was there for me in my darkest moments after the loss of my partner in '92. He was my neighbor and friend in Dayton OH at the time. My prayers go out to all of his loved ones.

Dan was a wonderful, passionate, compassionate and gentle man. His smile and wisdom will be missed by the many lives he touched. My heart and prayers go out to those who love him and whom he loved dearly.

January 19, 2010

I met Dan at the Westerville Community Center where my wife and I exercised each morning. We said hello to Dan as he smiled and passed by us on the exercise bike each morning. We spoke often at the pool area where Dan always had a smile. We were shocked to hear of Dan's death. We wish we had only known of Dan's state of mind so we might of helped in some way.

With Regret,

When I was new, Dan gave me rides home from meetings and showed me what it meant to carry the message. Who he was and what he shared with others changed lives. I am sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry about Dan. We sat and talked prior to our TBDBITL band rehearsal in December. He was looking forward to the bowl game and basketball. I have so many wonderful memories of our youth.

Cousin Dan was so kind and wonderful to our family. He truly was one of The OHIO STATE University biggest fans. His Buckeye Spirit is alive in our house. We will miss him dearly and pray god gives continued strength to all those in mourning.

Paula, My heart goes out to you now and always during your time of loss. The choir did not sound the same with out your beautiful voice. What a God-send you are. Trying to find the right words to say is never an easy task especially when it is the loss of your child. I love you and I want you to know that I am here for you even if it is to talk. I do not know what to say except that God will see you through this and please be strong. We need you and your beautiful voice. God Bless You!, Lori Allmon

Thank you for sharing so openly and honestly about Dan's life. I was touched and challenged on many levels as I read the full letter that was provided to TBDBITL Alumni Band members. I was never blessed to speak with Dan at practices or performances since we played in different sections. My loss. My prayers are with you all.
