Obituary Condolences

Casa Dante M. Casa, age 93, passed away March 23, 2017 after a battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born March 17, 1924 in Columbus. A proud WWII U.S. Army Veteran, who served in the Battle of the Bulge. Retired from General Motors after 40 years of service. An early member of The American Italian/Rivera Country Club, and the Guild Athletic Club. Dante, along with his surviving wife of 70 years, Betty, enjoyed many years of wintering in Naples, Florida. Also surviving are his children, Linda (Ray) Highfield, Steven (Debbie) Casa, Kathleen (Richard) Robertson, Victoria (David) Egan, Daniel (Suzanne) Casa and Paul (Nina) Casa; grandchildren, Jimmy Highfield, Jessica Cooper, Lindsay Teller, Richelle Miller, Nicole Casa, Benjamin, Anthony, Jacob, Dominic, Maria, Sophia Casa, Angelo, Paulina Casa; nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents Alberto and Paulina Casa, brothers Geno, Dino, Henry and Albert Casa, sisters Rina Boggoni and Anne Coletta. Friends received Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral Home, 1068 S. High St. Family will share memories 7 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, 6440 S. High St. on the grounds of St. Joseph Cemetery. Military honors to follow. Msgr. Romano Ciotola, celebrant.
