He honorably served his country during the Korean War in the Air Force and was stationed in Okinawa. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa. Along with his parents, David is preceded in death by his loving wife Marie Stevens Leber. He is survived by his sister, Jane Leber Pilley; niece, Susan (Jim) Adams and their children, Timothy and John Adams; nephew, Doug Pilley and his daughter, Katelyn; and numerous cousins.
