David Wm. Houser, 97, of Reynoldsburg, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017. Born November 7, 1919 in Bellefontaine, Ohio to Wm. P. and Opal K. (Longbrake) Houser. Attended grade school and High school in Belle Center, Ohio. US Army WWII veteran. David retired after 33 years faithful service from Jeffrey-Dresser Ind. He liked to hunt and fish, but was never great at either, just liked being out in the woods to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. David was a member of the Reynoldsburg VFW Post 9473. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife Helen L. (King) Houser, 2nd wife Virginia M. (Rizer) Houser and brothers Vaughn (Ruth) and Walter (Marie) Houser. David is survived by his daughters, Nancy Houser (Mark) Gray and Rebecca (Roy) Thornton; granddaughters, Tina Dial and Dawn Hipp. Family will receive friends 3-5 p.m. Sunday, October 22 at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg. Graveside service noon Monday, October 23 at Mound Cemetery, Piketon.
