David Alan Kefauver, age 65, died of natural causes on November 25, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in Chillicothe on February 2, 1952 and moved to Bexley when he was 7 years old. The family moved to Columbus where he graduated from Walnut Ridge High School in 1971. After high school, David accepted a position with the State of Ohio. David spent 30 years working for the state and retired in 2001. After retiring, David spent most of his time hiking, caring for animals and caring for his family. He enjoyed spending time in the woods and loved to get out to flea markets and estate sales. He was an avid DVD collector and loved watching old westerns. His family and friends will always be remember him as a quiet yet caring and generous person. He was a devoted lover of animals, particularly concerned over the welfare of cats. Preceded in death by parents Walter and Donna Kefauver, brothers Robert and Jeffrey Kefauver. Survived by brother, Michael (Robin) Kefauver; nieces, Kimberly (Kevin) Skinner, Lori (Nathan) Glorioso; nephews, Christopher (Beth) Kefauver, Jason (Robin) Kefauver, John (Shanna) Kefauver, Ethan Kefauver, Sean Cole; sisters-in-law, Cheryl (Marc) Prostman and Cheryl Kefauver; great nieces, Alexis Kefauver, Alissa Kefauver, Ashley Kefauver, Daniella Kefauver and Michaela Skinner; great nephews, Jeffrey Kefauver, Devin Skinner, Jason Kefauver II and Carter Kefauver; cousins, Rusty (Biata) Kefauver, Sheila (Kefauver) Glick, Tim (Linda) McElfresh and Becky (Jim Armstrong) McElfresh. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 3 p.m., EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., where friends may call 1 hour prior to service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate David's life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Humane Society in Hilliard, Ohio. www.evansfuneralhome.net
