David Weber Obituary

WEBER David Murray Weber, age 40, of Columbus, Oh. Born October 3, 1968, departed this world into the arms of Jesus and the Blessed Mother, whom he loved so much, on May 23, 2009. Preceded in death by grandparents Al Weber, Margery and Phil Rogers, his dog Cora, his loving uncle Mark G. Krutsch, and his favorite person in the world, his grandma Martha L. O'Brien. He leaves to mourn him his parents, Edward and Carol Weber, Cuyahoga Falls, Oh., Mary Ann and Joe Ward, Worthington, Oh.; sister, Grayce and Eugene Paul of New York City; grandfather, Thomas F. O'Brien; aunt, Kathy Krutsch; uncle, Thomas and Diana O'Brien; nephew, Thomas F. O'Brien; and nieces, Colleen O'Brien and Mary Martha Frances Krutsch; special friends, Roger McCaffrey and Jon Brewer; and many special friends in his life. Murray attended Upper Arlington High School and is a veteran of the U S Navy. He received his B.A. from Ohio Dominican University and an MBA from Franklin University. At the time of his death, he was working on his second Master's Degree in Public Policy, in preparation for entering Ohio State University's PhD program in Public Policy. His life's dream was to create a residential facility where the care of the disabled would be coupled with the treatment of troubled youth, in the firm belief that caring for others brings peace of mind and healing to troubled souls. He was for many years a live-in caregiver and companion to Roger McCaffrey, whose innocent suffering saved Murray's soul. Murray was a devout Catholic with special devotion to the Virgin Mary, and organized and led many pilgrimages to her shrines and sites of Her apparitions. His life-long passion was his belief in the sanctity of life and his involvement in pro life activities and post-abortion ministry and counseling. He will be sadly missed by those who love him. Friends may call Tuesday 6-9 p.m. at the EGAN-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 4O3 E. BROAD ST. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 280 N. Grant Ave. Burial St. Joseph Cemetery. Those who wish may contribute in his memory to St. Patrick Church Pro Life Ministry. For condolences visit www.egan-ryan.com

Dear Weber Family,

My heartfelt condolences go to you. I knew David briefly as I was a classmate of his in two classes @ the Glenn School. He was always very thoughtful in his comments and questions in class. And outside of class, David was always a positive presence. Although I did not know David as well as all of you, I will miss David too. My heart goes out to all of you. All of you and all the people David touched will be in my prayers and thoughts.

Sincerely,

Simon

Dearest Webber Family,
Hearing of Murray's passing came as a complete and total shock to those of us at Heinzerling. In fact, we had been waiting on Murray's return so Roger could give him a picture of the last time they went out to eat together in February. Our hearts ache for your loss and the void it will leave in Roger's. Our prayers, thoughts and positive energy are with you during this difficult time.

Weber Family,

I took a few classes with Murray during my time at the John Glenn School of Public Affairs. Although my interactions with him were limited, there was not a single instance in which his kindness and compassion did not shine through.

He was an inspiring, patriotic, and kind person; he will be missed.

Dear Mary Ann and Joe,

I was aaddened to read of Murray's passing. It seems untimely for us to see someone so young be taken. but didn't he accomplish good things in his short life? Oh, that more of us could follow his example and emmerce ourselves in good works.

May you and all your family be comfoted knowing he was so dedicated to his Christian beliefs.

Please convey my love and sympathy to Grandfather Tom. I remember he and Grandmother Martha with fondness.

Love and prayers,

To the Weber Family,

May the Light of GOD's Love shine upon you, May His loving arms embrace you, and May you find Peace knowing that Murray is safely in Heaven waiting for the day that you will all be reunited.

Please accept our deepest sympathies for the lose of Murray. He was such a kind and gentle soul with such a passionate love for our Heavenly Mother Mary. I so enjoyed the prayer meetings that we had at his house and the pilgrimages to Our Lady's apparition sites. His work on Earth may be done, but in Heaven...it has only begun.

Thank you for the gift of such a wonderful man. True friends don't come along very often but I'm glad to say that he was a true friend to our family. Always concerned and praying for the well being of others.

May he rest in the peace of Our Lord and Our Lady.
