David Russack beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend died on December 23 after a long illness. David was born in Brooklyn, New York. His family moved to New Jersey when he was a child. He graduated from Ridgewood High School and Rutgers University, where he was president of his fraternity Kappa Upsilon. He served in the United States Army in Germany as an interceptor, translator and transcriber of Russian military communications on the Eastern Communist border. David came to Columbus in 1970 with Borden Inc. where he was a National Sales Manager for the Petrochemical Division. He later worked for Guardsman Inc. and then established his own company Russack Inc. Preceded in death by parents, William and Dorothy Russack, brother, Robert Russack, daughters, Barbara and Andrea Russack, and grandson Christian David Kariotis. Survived by wife of 29 years Carol, daughter, Valerie (Derrick) of Atlanta, son, David Russcak Jr. step sons, Bruce Jones of Phoenix, Brian (Theresa) Jones of Columbus, grandsons, Nicholas and Jhenya DeCarlo of Atlanta, step granddaughter Ash Jones-Smith, step grandsons, Barron Jones, James Jones, step great grandsons, Gavin and London Smith all of Phoenix. David will be remembered as a loving and supportive son, husband, father and grandfather. He was brilliant, witty and charming and was a caring friend and mentor to many. A memorial gathering for relatives and friends will be held on Saturday, December 30 between 2pm and 4pm at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St, Worthington, Ohio.
