Corn Deane E. Corn, age 79, of Big Plain, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 in Mt. Carmel West Medical Center. He was born Jan. 25, 1934 in Madison County, Ohio. He was the son of the late David and Mabel (Jackson) Corn. Deane was a self-employed welder for over 30 years in the Madison County area. Deane enjoyed going to flea markets, watching old reruns of Two and a Half Men and being with his friends. He was preceded in death by parents, sister Sarabelle Haag, half-brothers Elsworth Elliott and Jim Elliott. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Julia (Reichelderfer) Corn; children, David Deane, Earl Keith, Stephen Dwayne, and Cindy Lou and their families; nieces and nephews. A Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at the PORTER-TIDD FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Sterling. Rev. Dortha Ross officiating with the interment following in Sunset Cemetery in Alton, Ohio. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
