Gould, Delma 1957 - 2017
Delma Darlene Gould, age 60, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 in her sleep. Delma was born March 30, 1957 in Columbus and was the daughter of Chloie Rebecca (Shackelford) Gould and Marvin Gould. Delma graduated in 1975 from Benton Central Jr./Sr. High School in Oxford, Indiana and went on to complete her bachelor's degree in accounting at Manchester College now Manchester University, a private school in North Manchester, Indiana. She was employed at Micro Center in Hilliard, Ohio for many years. Delma was first married to Donald L. Moyer and later to Steven Mormell. Her greatest in life was her daughter Nicole Renee Moyer who passed away suddenly on March 12, 2001 at the age of 16. Delma is survived by her brother, Delbert Gould; three nephews, David, Jeffrey, and Matthew Gould; one uncle, David Shackelford of Attica, Indiana; one aunt, Fleeta Blackburn of Tipp City, Ohio; 33 first cousins along with numerous other extended family members and friends. In addition to her daughter Nicole Renee Moyer, she was preceded in death by her mother Chloie Rebecca Lewis, her father Marvin Gould, three younger brothers Victor Leroy Gould, James Allen Lewis, and Jeffrey Dale Lewis, her grandparents Gillis and Mary Shackelford with whom she lived after the untimely death of her mother, five uncles Kelley, Grover, Walter, Ott, and Noah Shackelford, two aunts Nancy Hurst and Dorothy Ball and three cousins Johnny Blackburn, Edward Shackelford, and Sharon Shackelford.
Family will receive friends 11 A.M.-1 P.M. Sunday, January 21, 2018, in the Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio (three blocks south of SR 161), where funeral services will follow at 1 P.M. Rev. Margie I. Vandergraff presiding. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Special Olympics, 1133 19th Street NW, 12th Floor, Washington, DC 20036-3604 or online at https://give.specialolympics.org, Entombment to follow at a later date in Green Lawn Cemetery, 1000 Greenlawn Avenue, Columbus, Ohio.
