INNES Donald W. Innes 92, of Delaware, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in the Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky. He was born June 27, 1920 in Portland, Maine to Robert and Doris (Dodge) Innes. He graduated from the University of Maine where he was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. A resident of Delaware County since 1940, he was a Civil-Structural Engineer with the Bridge Bureau for ODOT. He was a member of the Berlin Presbyterian Church, a Boy Scout Leader and a Charter Member of the Orange Township Fire Department. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bernice; son, James (Pam) of Sunbury; daughter, Margaret (Don) Mussard of Colorado; five grandchildren, Jason Innes, Mandy (Joe) Backs, Megan Innes, Sarah (Steve) Pye and Nate Mussard. Four great-grandchildren, Mia Innes, Bridget Innes, Charlie and Olivia Backs; brother, Richard (Rachel) of Gorham, Maine; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a nephew Steve and a great grandson Jude Innes. A memorial service will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Berlin Presbyterian Church, 5175 S. Old State Rd., Lewis Center with Rev. Rick Negley officiating.
