Donald Keil Obituary

KEIL Donald W. Keil, 84, of Grove City, died Tuesday, December 20, 2011. He was born July 9, 1927 in Marysville, OH to the late G. Walter and Kathryn (Scheiderer) Keil. He was a graduate of Grove City High School and a WWII U.S. Army veteran. He retired with over thirty years service as Distribution Coordinator for International Harvester and was a lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He loved to play Bocce Ball and Euchre, but his favorite past time was gardening. He was a good father and he loved his family. He is preceded in death by his first wife Joan M. Keil, two brothers Allan and Clayton. He is survived by his wife, Carol; two children, Constance (Craig) Sonnen and Richard (Joan Ide) Keil; seven grandchildren, Lloyd Sonnen II, Jessica (Derrick) Danze, Kyle Sonnen, Elizabeth (Vanlath) Daranikone, Brian Keil, Chrystean (Kevin) Scholz and Stephanie (Paulo) Oliveira; five great-grand-children; four sisters, Ruth Sappington and friend, Michael Caleb, Rosemary (Gail) Turnbull, Frances (Sid) Day and Kathy (Jody) Clark; two sisters-in-law, Anna Keil and Nancy Emerson. Family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER GROVE CITY CHAPEL, 3920 Broadway. Funeral service will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus St. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the unrestricted memorial fund at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be made to www.schoedinger.com
