Walkenshaw Donnadene Walkenshaw. After a life of giving, Donnadene Walkenshaw passed from us on February 21, 2013. Born Marjorie Donnadene Woodford in 1922 near Caldwell, OH, it was there she grew up and met George Walkenshaw, marrying in 1944. In her early 40s, she pursued a long-delayed ambition to go to college, earning BS and MS degrees and finishing coursework for her PhD in educational psychology. She then worked for Marion Cty Schools and OSU's Learning Disability Svcs. In later life she continued to serve children at Jersey Preschool. Always active in Jersey Presbyterian Church, Donnadene served as Deacon and Elder, and was active in Presbyterian Women and Bible Study. She is survived by sons, Barry (Diane) Walkenshaw and Philip (Liz) Walkenshaw; four granddaughters, Julie, Jennifer, Stephanie (Eric) and Catherine (Nathaniel), two step-granddaughters, Lisa (Jeff) and Heather (Daniel); and seven great-grandchildren, Emily, Adam, Richard, Morgan, Quinn, Max and George. Family will receive friends at CROUSE-KAUBER-SAMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, Sunday, February 24, 2013, 4-6 p.m. The service will be held Monday, February 25, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. There will be a private interment at the Olive Cemetery in Caldwell, Ohio. An online memorial can be located at www.cksammons.com.
