Doris M. Butler, age 95, was born in Macon, Georgia on September 1, 1921, to Andrew and Clara Smith. The family moved to Columbus after her mother, Clara, passed away. Doris and her brother, Beufus, were raised by her Aunt Ella and Uncle Robert Carreker. Doris entered eternal peace on August 22, 2017 at McNaughten Pointe Nursing Home. Her husband (Griffin K. Butler.) and brother (Beufus A. Smith) preceded her in death. Doris was also a graduate of Central High School and attended Mount Olive Baptist Church. She worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and the Columbus Army Depot. Doris leaves to cherish her memory children, Deloris Carter-Pettigrew, Columbus, Clara-Willis Stigger, Columbus; Kenny Butler (Shirley), Rolling Meadows, Illinois, Andrew B. Butler (Cornelia), Detroit, Michigan; grandchildren, Keith Antone Willis, Sr. (Ericca), St. Louis, Tanya D. Willis, Columbus, Richard C. Carter (Liane D.), Columbus, Erika Butler, Chicago, Kaysha Carter, Killen, TX, and Quentin Kelly, Nashville; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. The visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, 1775 Eddy Stone Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43224. Funeral services are immediately following at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43202. The family of Doris Butler would like to express our sincere appreciation for the prayers, calls, visits, tokens of love, and other expressions of sympathy shown during our time of sadness. May God bless each of you for your kindness and concerns. Also very special thank you to the following; John K.
