Doris Catherine Holliman, 89 passed away peacefully on February 12, 2018. She was born in Jenkins, Kentucky on December 16, 1928 to the late Sterling Sr. and Lucy Mae Wright. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Herbert in 2003; grandson, Paul Sean Parker; brothers, James O. (Skeet), Sterling Jr. (Bro), Marion (Red), Louis M. (Honey), and Charles E. (Chuckie) Wright; adopted brother, Vernon Fielder; father- and mother-in-law, Jesse and Henrietta Holliman; and brothers-in-law, John and Jesse Jr. Holliman. Those Doris leaves to celebrate her life and cherish her memories are children: Paul Holliman, George (Jeannetta) Holliman, Terrance (Gradella) Holliman, Caro Holliman-Cantrell, Herbert Holliman, Jr., and Wendy Holliman; grandsons, Terrance (Rachel) Holliman, Jr., Ross Holliman, Darrin Holliman, Chonce Holliman, Dominic Holliman; granddaughters, Ashlee Holliman, Tyler Holliman, Meliyah Holliman; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Sheila) Wright and Jerome Wright; sisters, Jacqueline Redmond, Betty Ann Johnson, Carrie Young, Shirley Wright, Brenda (Harold) Cowans, Phyllis Corner, Barbra Wright, Evelyn Doughty, Arlene Calloway, and Lynn (Russell) Cunningham; sister-in-law(s), Betty Wright, and Sharon Combs-Wright; and, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. The family extends special appreciation to Dr. Gina M. Love-Walker and to Wesley Hospice Care staff members, nurse Amanda Lentz and hospice care aide Harriet Elaine McKnight for the personal care provided to our beloved. Celebration of Life 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2018 in the chapel of DIEHL-WHITTAKER FUNERAL SERVICE, 720 E. Long St., where the family will receive friends from 9am until the start of service.
