Earlene Hobson Obituary
Hobson, Earlene
1939 - 2018
Earlene P. Hobson, 78, passed away Sunday, April 1, 2018. She was born April 9, 1939 in Delbarton, West Virginia to the late Earl and Ella (Scalf) Jenkins. She was known for always being in a joyful mood and credited that to her faith in God. Her family was very important to her and she loved spending time with them. Earlene suffered several strokes, but could still sing like an angel. She loved to share her love for others and would always say "I love you" and to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she would sing: I love you a bushel and a peck a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck". In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Mildred "Sissy" Kennedy and brother Earl "Eddie" Jenkins. Earlene is survived by her children, Don (Diana) Perry, Billy "Dale" Perry, Sondra (Brad Haag) Williams, and Tammy (Gary Urdak) Burke; grandchildren, Bo, Tony, Kyle, Dusty, Matthew, Nicole, Erin, Breanne, Ian, and Danielle; sisters, Sallie Hall and Darlene Dalton; sister-in-law, Donna Jenkins; beloved dog, Mesha; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and friends. Family will welcome guests from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018 at the Schoedinger Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, Grove City, where funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Earlene's memory may be made to Columbus Humane, 3015 Scioto-Darby Executive Ct., Hilliard, Ohio 43026.
