Eddie Thurman Obituary

Thurman Eddie Lee Thurman Jr., age 80. Sunrise July 13, 1936 and Sunset January 10, 2017. He was graduate of East High School and was a retired Postal Carrier with The United States Postal Service. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents Barnell Ann and Eddie Lee Thurman Sr., sister Joyce Thurman Phillips and former spouse Viola Kelley Thurman. Left to cherish his memory, wife, Brunetta Gaines Thurman; son, Gregory Lee Thurman Sr.; daughters, Cynthia L. (Kevin) Chenault and Shari L. (Ronald) Wilks; stepsons, Kevin Gaines, Keith Gaines and Karl (Kellee) Gaines; brother, Lawrence Perry (Marilyn) Thurman; sister, Sharon Louise Moore; 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation 11 a.m. and Funeral 12 noon Monday, January 16, 2017 at Rehoboth Temple Church of Christ, 1111 E. My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Eddie. I worked with him what seemed like yesterday. A genuine person, I cannot make it to the funeral today but I will be thinking of him.
