Obituary Condolences

Gibson Edwin Gibson, Jr., age 54, entered Heaven's gates with thanksgiving, and entered His courts with praise, blessing His name May 28, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born April 6, 1963 in Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by wife, Beth (Shipman) Gibson; sons, James (Kelsey) Gibson, Christian Gibson (girlfriend, Brooke Taranger); daughter, Julia (Paul) Jennings. Preceded in death by parents Edwin and Loretta Gibson, sister Lora Gibson, daughter Aubrey Joy Gibson. Eddie was married to the love of his life for 32 years. He loved his kids dearly and was looking forward to his first granddaughter in June. He was a loyal friend. He loved people, made everyone feel special and loved to laugh. Eddie lived life to the fullest. He was always doing and giving to others. He loved to go out with friends. He relaxed by going fishing and taught his kids early to enjoy it, and do it "right". Eddie held a Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies from Nation-2-Nation Christian University. He attended Redeemer's on Courtright Church as a teenager. He was an extremely gifted musician and singer. He joined the worship team 25 years ago. He became a passionate worship leader. It was impossible to be in a worship service he was leading and not see and feel his passion for worshiping God. Eddie loved and served God in all he did. He had a heart for missions and to see people's lives changed by Jesus Christ. He supported mission work both locally and overseas. He went to Cuba and Africa and supported his wife and all three kids on trips to Africa, Mexico and Hungary. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2017, 11 a.m. at Redeemer's on Courtright, 1850 Courtright Rd., Columbus 43227, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service. Lunch will be provided immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Redeemer's on Courtright Missions Fund, 1850 Courtright Rd., Columbus, Oh 43227 or Victory Ministries, P.O. Box 360833, Columbus, OH 43236.
