Obituary Condolences

Iaconis Emma Marguerite "Maggie" Iaconis, age 93, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017. She was born on December 12, 1923 to George and Mabel Kershaw in Westerville, Ohio. She was a 1941 graduate of Columbus South High School. She was preceded in death by husbands John Pallos and Joseph Iaconis, son Daniel, daughter Meg Bishop, sisters Dorothy and Mildred, brothers Reeber and Richard, son-in-law Herb Coury. Maggie always said she had been very blessed to have two wonderful husbands. She was married to John Pallos for 26 years until his death. Ten years later she reconnected with a high school friend, Joseph Iaconis, and they were married for 33 years. Maggie was very independent and never gave up even during times of much pain and sadness. She found joy from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and most recently her little great-granddaughter, Emma. She is survived by her brother, Jack (Nancy); daughter, Genie (Nick) Boyer; step-daughter, Patti Coury; daughter-in-law, Susi Pallos; son-in-law, Brent Bishop; and grandchildren, Tim (Holly) Pallos; Tom (Ellen) Pallos, John Boyer, Steve (Emily Weiss) Boyer, Megan (Ryan) Larkin, Wes (Teresa) Bishop, Molly Bishop, Tony (Linda) Coury, and Beth (Scott) Hennicke; 16 great grandchildren. She is also survived by Joseph's family, daughter, Teri (Roy Cage) Iaconis; sons, John (Linda), Mike (Paula), and David (Lori) Iaconis; grandchildren, Nick, Justin, Josh, Patrick, (Jerrilyn), Rachel, William Iaconis, Lauren (Bradley) Ditmar; and 3 great grandchildren. To our Mom and Grandma, we love you dearly, will miss you greatly, but find comfort in knowing you are now in peace. Thank you to Deanna at Claremont Retirement Village and the staff of Kindred Hospice for their loving care. Friends may call Tuesday, June 27 from 3-5 p.m. at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St., Worthington, OH 43085. Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 6899 Smokey Row Rd. Columbus, OH 43235. Private family inurnment.
