Hanson Etta LaVerne Hanson , 94, died Wednesday, April 17, in Moneta, VA., where she had lived for the last 8 years with her daughter. She had a lovely, warm heart but it finally gave out and she could not go on. LaVerne was born in Carroll, OH on September 23, 1918 to the late Harley and Lily Hanna. She graduated from Carroll high school in 1936 and later, in 1938 she married Robert Hanson. They had two daughters. She was confirmed into Lutheran church in 1939 and became a long time member of David Lutheran Church in Canal Winchester. For years she served on the Alter Guild and for 35 years she managed the alter flowers donation charts. In addition to all of the hard work for her family, she also worked at the school cafeteria and at the swimming pool in Canal Winchester. LaVerne was devoted to her family and showed her love to them every day. She also loved gardening and was known for her skills in bringing flowers to life. LaVerne is greatly missed by her daughters, Sue Shultz of Moneta, VA. and Nancy White of Chillicothe, OH. She is also survived by her brother, Ron Hanna of Indiana; and sisters-in law Eleanor Hanna Rooker, and Joan Hanna; grandchildren, Jason Shultz and his wife Jeri, Joshua Shultz, Robert Konkler and his wife Erin, and Kara White; four great grandchildren, Miranda, Cameron, Lily and Connor. She is pre deceased by her parents, husband, brothers Keith, Harley and Paul and sisters Dorothy, Ruth and Gene. She was a wonderful, sweet, lady and will be sadly missed by all who loved her. Friends and family are invited to attend a luncheon at David Lutheran Church, 330 Groveport Pike, Canal Winchester, OH 43110 on Monday, April 22, at 12:30 p.m. where a service will follow at 2 p.m. DWAYNE R.
