Eulas D. Phillips, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2017 surrounded by family. Born December 26, 1929 in Lucasville, Ohio to the late Olive and Julie Phillips. He is preceded in death by his 2 sisters and 2 brothers. At a very early age his father taught him that if you want to have food on the table and a decent living you had to work for it. He worked as a brick mason in his own business for over 60 years. He developed a work reputation in Historic German Village that is almost untouchable. Survived by beloved wife of 66 years, Mary L. Phillips; 3 daughters, Linda (Vernon Cisco), Victoria (Mark Mead), and Nancy (John Yoho); grandchildren, Theresa Cisco (Linda), Jeannette Adams and Christopher Mead (Victoria), Justin Yoho and Heather Yoho (Nancy); 7 great grandkids; 1 great great granddaughter; many other relatives and friends. He was devoted to his faith and was a member of several area churches. He lived his life according to the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount – do unto others what you would want them to do unto you. Visitation will be held Friday, December 22, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at O. R. WOODYARD SOUTH CHAPEL, 1346 S. High St., where funeral service will be held Saturday at 10 am. Pastor Troy Ervin officiating. Interment Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
