Francis "Frank" Huddle, 90, died November 18, 2017. Frank was born in Stoutsville, Ohio on February 14, 1927, the oldest of seven children of Francis G. "Mac" Huddle and Edna Chambers Huddle. He graduated from Stoutsville High School as Valedictorian in 1945, was inducted immediately into the US Army where he served from 1945-1947 in Germany with the Army of the Occupation of WWII, then received his B.A. from Denison University in 1951, and a Master's in Education from Xavier University in 1962. Frank spent 31+ years as an educator, 22 of them in Williamsburg, Ohio as principal and teacher. He was also a football and baseball coach, served on the school board, and become a Kentucky Colonel and a Mason. He is survived by children, Kathy Huddle-(Jim) Hall, Rhett (Jan) Huddle, Rob (Penny) Huddle, Kim (Jeff) Kiser, Melissa (David) Morgan, Doug Huddle, and Matt Huddle; siblings, Pat (Paul) Martin, Mike (Cheryl) Huddle, Judy (Bill) Miller, Tom Huddle, and Becky Huddle; 21 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many others who admired and enjoyed his love and zest for life. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alexa McClain Huddle, sister and brother-in-law Peg and Don Hunker and sister-in-law Cindy Strohmeyer Huddle. A memorial service will be held at Pinnacle Golf Club - Ballroom on December 2, 2017 at 1 pm, and a separate service at the Williamsburg, Ohio, High School Auditorium Sunday, Dec. 3 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: Multiple Myeloma Society or Research foundation; Kobacker House Hospice, or The James Cancer Hospital, both of Columbus, Ohio.
