Frederick Carl Iseringhausen, passed away into the Church Triumphant on Saturday evening, November 11, 2017. Born on December 14, 1933, Fred, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, is survived by his son, Tim (Sharon) Iseringhausen; daughter, Jill (Andy) Rust; grandchildren, Danielle (Scott) Morrison, Mike (Sarah) Iseringhausen, Matthew (Patty) Rust, Jenna Iseringhausen, and Hannah Rust; great-grandchildren, Cooper and Max Morrison, and Sabine Iseringhausen; sister, Phyllis (Davis) Conrad of Dayton, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 58 years, Bea. Fred was a 1956 graduate of Capital University. He taught in the Columbus Public School System until retirement. A longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Bexley, Fred sang in the Chancel Choir for over 50 years and was a founding member of the Ohio Village Singers. He served as a Captain in the Air Force during the Korean War. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8pm, at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, Ohio, 43230. A funeral service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 2314 E. Main Street, Bexley, Ohio 43209 on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at 11am with an hour prior of calling. Burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Pastor Tim Iseringhausen and Pastor Denny Asp officiating.
