Genevieve McAdow Obituary
McAdow, Genevieve
Genevieve McKitrick McAdow, 91, of Marysville, died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living Solutions surrounded by her loving family. A proper and classy lady, she was employed with Ranco for over 30 years and enjoyed reuniting with her fellow retirees through the years. She was a beloved member of Marysville Christian Church family and was a cheerleader and graduate of Watkins High School. Genevieve will be remembered as a great cook and her "Milky Way Cake" was always a most-anticipated dish at the McKitrick reunions. Affectionately known as "Nanny" by her family, nothing gave her more joy than to be surrounded by children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was born August 6, 1926, in Jerome, to the late Pearl and Edith Bailey McKitrick. She married Bernard H. McAdow on June 8, 1947, at her parents' home in Columbus, and he preceded her in death on July 16, 1998. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Deborah Lynne McAdow, a great-grandson Duncan McAdow, five sisters Helen Morrison, Edna Sams, Irene Howard, Gladys Humble, and Imogene Turner, a brother Forest McKitrick, in-laws Eloise Kasper, Lee McAdow and Berneta Zacharias and several nieces and nephews. Survivors include her two children, Doug (Pat) McAdow and Deanna (Duane) Fee, each of Marysville; four grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) McAdow, Nicholas (Bethany) McAdow, Stephanie Bass, and Joshua (Phynesia) Edwards; 11 great-grandchildren, Savannah, Hunter, Landon, Mason, Ashlynne and Caylee McAdow, Tyler and Tanner Bass, Trystan (Taylor), Ryley, and Harley Edwards; two great great grandchildren, Kinsley and Kohlson Edwards; and several nieces and nephews. The family would also like to Thank their "Dream Team" from Heartland Hospice. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Mannasmith Chapel, 621 W. Fifth St., Marysville. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, September 11, 2017 at the Marysville Christian Church, 17000 Waldo Rd., Marysville. Ed Beeson will officiate and burial will take place at Oakdale Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marysville Christian Church or Heartland Hospice in care of the funeral home.
