Sparks George E. Sparks, age 73, of Marysville, went to Heaven Tuesday evening, October 1, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born June 13, 1940 in Mazie, KY. George was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He spent his life serving his family and was a well respected carpenter. Member of the Cornerstone Church of Christ in Christian Union, Plain City. Preceded in death by his parents Emory and Jane (Fannin) Sparks, daughter-in-law Deborah (Sullivan) Sparks, 2007, five brothers and five sisters. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Rosemary (Blevins) Sparks; children, Pam (Bill) May of Marysville and Tom (Hope) Sparks of Delaware; three grandchildren, Ashley May, Breanna May and Matthew Sparks; three step-grandchildren, Nate Morris, Rebekah Morris and Hannah Scarbury; five great-grandchildren, Hailey May, Nate Kingsolver and Natalie Kingsolver, Elijah Bittinger and Paige Myers, all of who were the joy of his life; brothers, Delmas (Jenny) Sparks; sisters, Maggie (Ed) Robinson and Evelyn (Paul) VonDach; many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Cornerstone Church of Christ of Christian Union, 8280 Rickard Rd., Plain City, where the funeral will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2013 with Pastor Phil Conrad officiating and burial Forest Grove Cemetery.
