In loving memory of George "Bud" Nance who died peacefully at home on Feb. 13, 2018 at the age of 89.George is survived by Dixie Nance, his loving wife of 61 years. He is also survived by his daughters Vicky Dunn of Columbus, Lesa (Ken) Tadlock of Shelby NC, Susan (Rick) Hoskins of Westerville, and Marty (Dave) Prosser of Lewis Center. Grandchildren; Amber Russell, Carly Ervin, Jason Hoskins, Blake Hoskins, Nathan Prosser, Emily Prosser. Great Grandchildren; Sierra Russell, Sydney Russell, Richard Russell, Bria Russell, Parker Bateman, Amelia Thomas. His sister Sue Binion, many neices and nephews as well as cherished friends and neighbors. He is preceded in death by his parents, George Nance and Nancy Hickman Nance Campbell, sisters Helen Cline, Leora Kirby, Margaret Hicks and brother Clyde Campbell.George was born on January 29, 1929 in Madison County, Ohio. After high school he entered the Air Force where he served over seas in the Korean War. After his service to our country he married and moved to Columbus where he began his family and his work as a Polymer Technologist for Battelle Memorial Institute. During his 37 year tenure at Battelle he was involved in many areas of research including holding a patent for his work on abrasion resistant plasma coatings that is used on airplane windshilds making them safer. Memorial service will be 11 AM Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 at the HILL FUNERAL HOME, 220 S. State St. Westerville, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Jack Witherspoon officating. In lieu of flowers,friends who wish, may contribute to the Ohio Health Hospice, 800 McConnell Dr. Columbus, Ohio 43214 in Bud's memory.
