Dorsky Dr. Gerald "Jerry" Dorsky, age 86, born January 8, 1927 in Cleveland, passed away on August 25, 2013 in Columbus. Preceded in death by his parents Jack and Mae Dorsky. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gloria Dorsky; sons, Dave (Valerie) Dorsky of Columbus and Stuart Dorsky of Schaumburg, IL; and brother, Bill (CeeCee) Dorsky of Beachwood, OH. Jerry was a World War II Navy veteran and a practicing optometrist for 53 years. He was active in the Fremont (OH) Community Theater and Fremont Toastmasters Club, served on the Board of Directors of the School of Hope, and was a long time member and past president of the Fremont Lions Club. He also was an active member of Beth Israel Temple in Fremont and later joined the Oheb Shalom Congregation in Sandusky. He was an enthusiastic tennis player for most of his life and also enjoyed gardening, traveling, Bridge, Scrabble, and dogs. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 30 at Trillium Place, 3500 Trillium Crossing in Columbus with Jack Schwartz officiating.
