Geraldine Ann "Gerri" (Evans) Miller, age 85, of Plain City, Ohio and longtime resident of Jerome, Ohio, died March 14, 2018 peacefully at Edgewater Place in Plain City. Gerri was born August 13, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio, to Ralph E. Evans and Maude C. Lewis Evans. Gerri consistently demonstrated the priorities of her life which were faith, family, and friends. She was always a loving and dedicated wife and mother, a dedicated church member, and employee. She lived out these priorities by her regular attendance at Jerome United Methodist Church and membership in the United Methodist Women organization. With their great friends from the church, Gerri and Dee worked together in missions, trips, and service to the church. Gerri was always a lover of music and loved participating in the Jerome United Methodist Church Choir. She continued her dedication to the church up until the weeks before she passed and could still be heard singing her alto part with the rest of the congregation. Gerri married the love of her life, Charles (Dee) Miller, June 30, 1950 in Columbus, Ohio. Later they moved together from Columbus to Jerome in 1955. There, over the next 50 years, they built their home and raised five children together. Gerri also had a work career of which she always took great pride. She was a long time proud employee and retiree of Wendy's International. In addition she was a school bus driver for the Dublin Schools for many years. She was a dedicated, loyal and valuable friend, coworker, and employee to all with whom she worked. Not the least of her lifelong dedications, Gerri and Dee were always avid Buckeyes, fans of all OSU sports, and most especially the Marching Band, eventually having grandchildren participating in each. Gerri is preceded in death by her husband Dee, her parents, and sisters Eloise, Ruth, and Evelyn. Gerri is survived by children, Cathy (Rick) Spain of Milford Center, Ohio, Chuck (Cathey) Miller of Indian Lake, Ohio, Gary (Cyndie) Miller of Bellville, Ohio, Tom (Debbie) Miller of Plain City, Ohio and DeeAnn (Dan) King of Shawnee Hills, Ohio; grandchildren are Jason (Michelle) Jeffers, Janel (Harland) Smyers, Aaron Spain, Ann Spain, Brittany, Brook, Jessica (Del), Zach Yeager, Seth (Ashley), Jared, Carissa (Joe) Mazzola, Hannah, Chris (Heather), Cody (Katie), Charlie (Caitlin), Katie (Brian), and Holly.
