Geraldine Messer Obituary

MESSER Geraldine "Gerry" Messer, age 64, of Reynoldsburg, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 24, 2008, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Born February 20, 1943, in Kermit, West Virginia, to the late Aaron M. and Ellen M. (Maynard) Damron, she was a graduate of Kermit High School. Survived by her husband of 47 years, Donald; daughter, Pamela (John) Franz, Pickerington; grandson, John Matthew "Jack" Franz, who was the light of his "Mimi's" life; sisters, Wilma (Rodger) Lovins, Orient, Bettie (George) Maynard, Powell, Kathy (Danny) Maynard, KY; brothers, Aaron (Vickie) Damron, Grove City, Elias (Margaret) Damron, WV; very special nephew, John (Heather) Lovins; other nieces and nephews. Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road North (St. Rt. #256), Pickerington, where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, with the Rev. Ric Frazier officiating. Interment will follow at Glen Rest Memorial Estate. Friends who wish may contribute to the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, 300 W. We love her and will miss her.
One of my fondest memories was when I was young, she would always tell me to get some walnuts and she would bake a cake. We would then set down and have milk and cake together. (Aaron's comment) We will keep all of you in our prayers.
