ALEXANDER Gerome Alexander, beloved son, brother, uncle and nephew, departed this world on Friday, August 5, 2011. Gerome was born on June 27, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to Raymond and Rose Alexander. He was the youngest of nine children and also was a fraternal twin. He attended Pope John XXIII primary school, Roosevelt Junior High and graduated from Central High School in 1983. A gifted artist, Gerome received a scholarship to attend Columbus School of Art and Design. He did many drawings and paintings for church members, family and those in the Columbus community. He was hard working and was employed by the Hyatt and Marriott Hotels until the onset of his illness. Gerome is preceded in death by his father Raymond Alexander Sr. and his brother Antonio Alexander. He is survived by his mother, Rose Alexander; sisters, Mary (Robert) Callahan, Eloise (Clarence Mitchell) Alexander, Charlene Alexander and Geraldine (Kevin) Garside; brothers, Raymond, David (Arlene) and Richard Alexander; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 11, 2011 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 453 N. 20th Street. Fr. Joshua Wagner, Celebrant. Friends may call on Thursday 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
