CALIENDO Gregory Caliendo, 64, of Columbus, passed away Monday, May 28, 2012. He was born October 12, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Phillip Dunn and Juliette Rose Caliendo. Greg lived in Texas for a time before settling in Columbus. Greg's passion in life was his dogs. He bred, owned and showed multiple top winning Belgian Sheepdogs and Old English Sheepdogs. He was an AKC conformation judge approved to judge the herding group along with dogs from the working and non-sporting groups and Best in Show. Greg gladly shared his knowledge of dogs with anyone who asked and was a great teacher and inspiration to many. Greg was a member of the Central Ohio Kennel Club, where he had numerous friends that he considered his family. Greg will be missed by many including his cousins, especially Paul and friends, Susie, Julie, Joan, Mike, Roger and Vi. He has been reunited with his four-legged friends who have passed over the Rainbow Bridge and together they travel the roads of heaven. Private burial will be held at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery in Hillside, IL. Contributions may be made in Greg's memory to the Kidney Foundation or the Belgian Sheepdog Club of America Rescue Trust.
