Heidi Beth Rempe Obituary
Rempe, Heidi Beth
1965 - 2017
Heidi Beth Rempe, a gift from God and a truly remarkable woman, passed away peacefully one week shy of her 52nd birthday, surrounded by her loving family. Heidi was born October 13, 1965 in Columbus, Ohio to David and Sunny (Root) Rempe. She graduated from St. Francis de Sales High School during which time she also earned a license in cosmetology. Heidi devoted 26 years of her life to military service, attaining the rank of MSgt in the National Guard where she served with the 121st Air Refueling Wing. She served in Operation Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom and was one of the first female boom operators. Heidi was truly a "Home Town Hero". Following her military service she worked for Netjets. She was a world traveler, a Buckeye fan and a strong willed woman whose heart and ambition were as big as her determination. In addition to her parents, she will be missed dearly by her beloved siblings, Jamie Jo (Christopher) Stevens and Adam Allen (Rose) Rempe; husband, Alex Miller and his children, Rachel, Jack and Ainsley; nieces and nephews, Addison, Lyndsay, Taylor, Lisa, Stephanie and Amy; uncle Mike (Dee) Rempe; aunt, Mary Lou Crist; dear friends, Paul and Margo Stevens; puppies, Murphy Jo and Sassy Marie; extended family and friends. Preceded in death by her brother Ladd Allen Rempe (2010), grandparents Ted and Loriene Rempe, Donald and Henrietta Root, uncle Richard Timmons. Family will receive friends 4-8pm (7:30 Prayer Service) Friday, October 13, 2017 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10am Saturday, October 14, at Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church, 6300 E. Dublin Granville Rd., New Albany, OH 43054. Fr. Jim Csaszar, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, please support Jamie, Chris and Alex as they ride in the next Pelotonia fundraiser in memory of Heidi. Heidi's family would like to offer a heartfelt "thank you" to the caring people at the Zangmeister Cancer Center, St. Ann's Hospital and Heartland Hospice. "I hope I made a difference in the world for the better. I will always be with you, I will always love you and I know we'll see each other again."
