Helene Ruth Goldmeier, passed away on February 6, 2018. She was a longtime member of Congregation Beth Jacob. Preceded in death by her loving husband Bert, parents Joseph and Fannie Schwartz, mother and father-in law Saul and Molly Goldmeier, sister Muriel Green. She is survived by her daughter, Kathe Turiel; sons, David (Terry ) Goldmeier, Joe (Susan) Goldmeier and Michael (Bonita) Goldmeier; brother, Alan Schwartz; sister, Elaine (Buddy) Eifer; grandchildren, Stephen, Mellisa (Joshua Kahn), and Jordon Goldmeier, Danielle and Bradley Turiel, Lisa Goldmeier, Joshua, Bradley (Chelsea), Adam, Eric, Gary and William Goldmeier; and great-grandchildren, Judah and Benjamin Kahn; and son-in-law, Richard Turiel. Helene was chairperson of the Woman's Chevra Kadisha for many years and a Chevra Kadisha volunteer for many decades. She was a lifelong Beth Jacob Sisterhood member and honored in 2016 with the Beth Jacob prestigius Aishes Chayil award. Helene held many volunteer executive posts with Hadassah was also a Hadassah life member. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, February 8 at Epstein Memorial Chapel, 3232 E. Main St. Interment will follow at New Beth Jacob Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at Helene's home starting at 5:45 PM Thursday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
