Howard Brickey Obituary

BRICKEY Howard "Mitchell" Brickey, 85, passed away at his residence on June 23, 2010. A Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at KAUBER-SAMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 289 S Main St., Pataskala, OH with Pastor Rocky Brown officiating. Interment to follow at Pataskala Cemetery in Pataskala, OH with full Military Honors. Mitchell was born on February 12, 1925 to the late Franklin Pierce and Felcie (Williams) Brickey in Fielden, KY. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He retired from South West Licking School District after many years of dedicated service in their Custodial Department. Mitchell was a member of the Fairview Freewill Baptist Church in Utica, OH and attended the Full Armor of God Baptist Church in Pataskala. Mitchell is survived by his children, Dwight (Annette) Brickey, Debbie (Norman) Ayers and Cathy Morris, his siblings; Edith Sparks, Joyce (Lee) Chaffin, Janet Corriveau, Irene Mauger, Lowell Brickey, Clifford (Peggy) Brickey, Ralph (Linda) Brickey, Dennis Brickey, Ellis Brickey, and Frank (Norma) Brickey; grandchildren, Joseph (Angie) Wellman, Amanda Morris, Elizabeth Brickey; three great-grandchildren; along with many nieces, nephews and good friends. Mitchell is preceded in death by his sister Sybil Wills, and two brothers Clyde Estill, and Victor Brickey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 25, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made in loving memory of Mitchell to the Foundation for Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd., Newark, OH 43055.
