Jack Harrison Obituary

HARRISON Jack Vernon Harrison, age 83, of Heath, Oh., formerly of Millersport, Oh., entered eternal life on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at Chapel Groves Assisted Living Center. Born January 31, 1923 in Columbus, Oh. to the late Frank and Sarah (Hunter) Harrison. Jack was a mail carrier retiring in 1980 and a U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include 4 children, James P. (Martha) Harrison of Granville, Oh., Jack R. Harrison of Hopewell, Va., Jeri (James) Skeens of Millersport, Oh. and Jeffrey Harrison of Millersport, Oh.; 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren. Also surviving Jack is brother-in-law, Irvin Wohlstein; nieces, nephews and cousins; and companion, Gloria S. Gosnell. He was preceded in death by wife Rebekah (Gallagher) Harrison, 1979, parents, brother Paul Harrison, sisters Jean Liddil and Katherine Harrison. Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2006 at the BORING-SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME, 56 S. Main St., Thornville, Oh. Funeral service will be at Grace Lutheran Church, 65 E. Columbus St., Thornville, Oh. at 12Noon on Saturday, July 8, 2006 with 1 hour of calling before the service at the church, with Pastors Jeff and Patti Morlock officiating. Burial will be in the Millersport Cemetery, Millersport, Oh. Memorials may be given to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Rd., Newark, Oh. 43056 or Chapel Grove Inn, 1400 Chapel Way, Heath, Oh. 43056.
