James Echelbarger Obituary

ECHELBARGER James A. Echelbarger, 89, of Baltimore, Ohio, died Friday, July 9, 2010 at Autumn at the Lake Nursing Home. He was a retired machinist for Lucent Technologies. He was a member of Vega United Methodist Church in Thurman, Ohio, 66 year member of York Masonic Lodge 563 F & AM, avid model railroad enthusiast and Telephone Pioneers. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Margaret Echelbarger; son, Gary (Geannie) Echelbarger of Canal Winchester, Ohio; daughter, Jaynee (Michael) Ziegler of Carroll, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jason (Eydie) Echelbarger, Julie (Dan) Iven, and Jody (Richard) Geier; eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Kay Atwood of Pataskala, Ohio and Janet (Norman) Matthews of Westerville, Ohio; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Chalmer and Norene Echelbarger, brothers Claude, Kenneth, Victor, Robert, David, George and Chalmer Echelbarger, sisters Mary Mulherin, Katherine Mason, and Irene Hall. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the JOHNSON-SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore, Ohio 43105, with Chaplain Ernie Doling officiating. Burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio. Friends may visit Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be given to FairHoPe Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
