PODVIN James E. "Jimbo" Podvin, age 58, January 30, 2012, unexpectedly at home. Preceded in death by father James E Podvin, sister Susie Maness, step-son Edgar Scott, grandson Coty, niece and nephew April and Bobby. Survived by loving wife, Peggy; son, Jimi (Jamie); daughters, Cheri, Trish (Brian), Mikki (Roger) and Jodi (Steven) Spurill; ex-wife, Sandy Podvin; mother, Dorothy; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Delores and Robert Yontz; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; siblings, Marilou (Leonard) Reaves, Sally (Bobby) Chapman, Debbie (Bobby) Dalton and Clyde (JoAnn) Podvin; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Dale Yantis, JJ Cochran and Johnny Gianikos; and many friends and family members too numerous to mention. Visitation will be held Thursday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the SHAW-DAVIS FUNERAL HOME, Victorian Village Chapel, 34 W. 2nd Ave., where funeral service will be held Friday 11 a.m. Interment Alton Cemetery. Pastor Stanley Slabaugh officiating.
